This role will report to the VP of Accounting & Finance in directing the company---s accounting functions for several lines of business of the Company. This professional will mentor and develop those teams as well as work with operations as a business partner. Also you will oversees the preparation and evaluation of financial operating reports and you will present findings and recommendations to the Corporate management team. It is a great role - mentor a team, have a great blend of nonroutine and routine, be a part of a true team atmosphere, have work life balance, and continue to grow and be challenged. Responsibilities: Direct the closing process, reviewing journal entries, reconciling balances, and financial statements, Mentor a great accounting team Be the lead on various ad hoc projects Review financial analysis of performance. Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain the company---s general ledger and supporting records, including reviewing the monthly reconciliation of all accounts and subsidiary ledgers. Seek to enhance the internal controls of the Company. Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvements. Make proposals for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.) Research applicable accounting standards to ensure compliance in recording and reporting of transactions. Work as a key member of the Company---s finance team Qualifications Bachelor---s degree in Accounting or a related field required. Twelve or more years of increasing accounting responsibilities. Three or more years of supervisory experience Knowledge of research techniques for analyzing data and presenting recommendations required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Great communication and management skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently under time sensitive deadlines. Exhibit great attention to detail Be outgoing
