Job DescriptionSummary: We are searching for an IT Director for a local Non-profit Organization! The IT Director will manage and direct the organization's information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service. Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads development and implementation processes for the assigned organization's IT systems and department.
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and organization information.
  • Creates a multi-year plan to operationalize a technology support strategy, with key milestones, deliverables, and realization targets.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Prepares and administers an annual expense budget for the IT office.
  • Serves as trusted advisor to other executives and leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs, ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Oversees efforts in establishing documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies for technology support functions and ensure adherence to standards across teams.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and understands the direction of applicable technology support capabilities and ensures technology environment is agile enough to change quickly organization is communicated clearly and carried out effectively, efficiently and collaboratively within the assigned office.
  • Monitor employee productivity while providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Oversee and supervise assigned staff performance, provide guidance, support and identify development needs.
  • Monitors staff hours, reviews and approves timesheets in a timely manner.
  • In collaboration with the Department Head recruits, interviews, hires, and trains office staff within the assigned office.
  • In collaboration and consultation with the Department Head, establish and implement strategic short- and long-term office goals, plans, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
  • Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the mission and vision of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or business-related field, or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum in lieu of a degree.
      • Experience
        • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in managing an IT office.
        • Experience in an accounting and/or finance related field.
        • Experience overseeing the technology life cycle from requirements analysis, feasibility estimates, documentation, testing, implementation, and support.
        • License and Credentials
          • Reliable transportation
          • Valid driver license
          • Valid vehicle insurance
          • Schedule
            • Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm (Weekends and Evenings as needed)Preferred Qualifications
              • Education
                • Master's degree preferred.Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
                  • Extensive experience with computer software, network, hardware and Microsoft Office Suite.
                  • Knowledge of computer applications and implementation.
                  • Demonstrated financial acumen involving budgets, forecasting, and executing on the budgets for applicable technology support function.
                  • Demonstrated experience in vendor contract management.
                  • Through understanding of IT and practical applications to support organizational goals.
                  • Ability to manage budget and personnel, implement policy, and procedures.
                  • Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management.
                  • Excellent analytical and management skills.
                  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
                  • Must have good written and verbal skills.
                  • Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills. #zr
