This Accountant role is an important position on the Optum Financial accounting team in OptumHealth, focusing on the Solutran business.


You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.


Primary Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Prepare daily reconciliations of cash settlement activities
  
• Prepare support and journal entries for monthly accounting close
  
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting documentation monthly
  
• Provide cross-coverage to other members of the team related to treasury functions, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger accounts
  
• Work collaboratively across teams to resolve issues
  
• Prepare and review Bank Secrecy Act & Anti-Money Laundering documentation and escalate as necessary
  
• Assist with special projects as needed

  Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    
  • 1+ years of Accounting or reconciliation experience
    
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel

    • Demonstrate solid attention to detail and problem solving skills
      
    • Solid oral and written communication skills
      
    • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic working environment
