Job Description Job Description Automotive Service Advisor (Service Writer) – Fredericksburg Chevrolet GMC Fredericksburg, TX | Full-Time Fredericksburg Chevrolet GMC is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing service team. If you’re the type of person who can build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and keep work flowing smoothly between customers and technicians — this could be a great fit. We’re not looking for someone to “just write tickets.” We’re looking for a professional who takes pride in delivering a great service experience and helping customers feel confident every step of the way. What You’ll Do As a Service Advisor, you are the face of the service department . You’ll manage customer relationships, create accurate repair orders, and ensure customers receive clear updates and strong communication. Key Responsibilities: Greet customers in the service drive and build rapport quickly Listen to concerns, ask the right questions, and document concerns clearly Write repair orders and recommend maintenance based on mileage, condition, and manufacturer guidelines Provide transparent estimates, timelines, and repair updates Maintain strong follow-up communication (phone/text/email) Upsell ethically by educating customers on safety and preventative maintenance Ensure high CSI/customer satisfaction performance through professionalism and consistency What We’re Looking For We want someone who can handle a fast-paced environment while still giving every customer top-tier service.
