CCO Technology, our US business division's IT organization, is seeking a Platform Cloud Engineer to join our Production Platform Engineering team in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with a small, mission-driven team to enable easily deployable features and services, enhance transparency and ownership within the company. This individual's responsibilities include Infrastructure as Code for cloud services, collaboration with developers, pipeline automation, monitoring enhancements, establishing key performance indicators, shift left QA/security, and evangelizing DevOps.

The Production Platform Engineering team partners with stakeholders from CCO's core customer-facing and internal operational functions - spanning Sales, Marketing, Finance, Ad Operations, Billboards, IT teams, Security, and Audit - to deliver technology solutions that enable market differentiation and enhance the company's revenue generation capabilities.

Our portfolio of industry-first apps and API services are leveraged to reduce friction in the OOH buy/sell process, power programmatic transactions with agency and advertiser platforms, execute ad campaigns across our nationwide digital network, and more!

What you'll do

  • Participate in the development lifecycle for Infrastructure as Code Project, from feature planning through design and dev, to pipeline management and platform enablement
  • Embrace modern agile and cloud development practices. Seek to optimize ways of working as a member of a cross-functional engineering team to move the evolution of the platform forward
  • Contribute to the development of user stories
  • Share knowledge and learning through code reviews and cross functional teams, while taking and giving feedback appropriately
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and architecturally sound, and technical debt is repaid in a reasonable time
  • Collaborate with other teams to solve interesting and challenging problems across the company's technology ecosystem

    About you
    • You are a highly capable engineer, having built AWS enterprise-class services and platforms
    • You have a solid understanding of system design, data structures and algorithms, and understand how to apply them in a way that enables teams to contribute to platform architectures and services
    • You will be responsible for architectural design patterns and pipeline management
    • You are a DevOps evangelist
    • You view troubleshooting as a challenge and are familiar with various monitoring tools
    • Ability to multi-task and comfortable with minimal supervision
    • You learn quickly and enjoy working closely together with product teams to bring value to your stakeholders
    • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams
    • You are passionate about what you do and have a high interest in keeping up with current best-practices in areas of expertise
    • You care deeply about end user experience, clean architecture and shipping high-quality services
