our Direct Client in Boston, MAJob Title: Salesforce Engineer/100%
RemoteWhat you will do:Position Summary: The Salesforce Engineer is
responsible for developing, administering, and maintaining a
variety of simple to complex features and functionalities in
Salesforce - Bottom Line's system of record for program and service
delivery as well as fundraising and development. Specifically, the
Salesforce Engineer will be responsible for driving day to day
maintenance of Salesforce, with constant re-prioritization and
adjustments being made along the way, as well as leading the
development and deployment of new features and functionalities such
as user interface designs in Salesforce. The Salesforce Engineer
sits on the Technology and Data team and will report to the Chief
Technology and Data Officer (CTDO).Qualifications - Required:
- Academic training - Bachelor, Masters or Certificate Degree -
in computer programming, with demonstrated course work in database
design.
- 4+ years of professional programming experience as a software
engineer.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience writing code for triggers
and developing solutions on Salesforce technical stack using the
following platform components: Workflow Rules, Process Builder,
Flow, Lightning Web Components, Lightning Aura Components,
Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, API (SOAP and REST).
- 3+ years demonstrated experience researching and
troubleshooting Salesforce issues and presenting ideas in language
that can be consumed by a variety of end-users.
- 2+ years of prior experience working as part of collaborative,
multi-disciplinary team to deliver web-based products and services
on time and on budget.
- 1+ year of experience in Agile process and delivery.
- 1+ year deployment pipeline experience
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication
capabilities, including an ability to work effectively on shared
projects with various stakeholders that may span across multiple
internal and external vendor teams.
- Demonstrated experience wrangling complex product development
lifecycles and schedules, in a multi-tasked, fast-paced, and
changing environment, from ideation through to go-live.
- Strong attention to detail, including the ability to interpret
and explain complex systems and ideas, as well lead, drive
consensus, and deliver in an early-stage transformative
organization with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working in a data-driven and process-driven
organization to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple
projects solely related to technical products.
- Ability to function independently while maintaining clear
communication lines with multiple levels - both junior and senior
management - within an organization Primary Responsibilities (95%):
- Direct and lead the end-to-end process for Salesforce system
administration and software development, from requirement gathering
sessions with business leads, to design, development,
documentation, testing, release of new features, support operations
and defect resolution for released feature sets.
- Analyze changes to Salesforce that are often complex,
interrelated, and cut across multiple platforms, to fulfill
complicated requirements, improve performance and increase product
usage.
- Code review Salesforce per diem developers as needed.
- Continuously look for opportunities to optimize existing
Salesforce code to improve overall performance and
interoperability.
- Closely partner with business users to conduct User Acceptance
Testing (UAT) and sign off on successful implementations of
features.
- Maintain a governance model and change management process for
Salesforce.
- Coordinate with the Service Desk and Human Resources on user
provisioning and de- provisioning activities.
- Collaborate with Program Design team leads and/or the Technical
Director of Product, to collect feedback, priorities, and ideas on
Salesforce and translate these into future requirements and
development plans.
- Use JIRA to create and successfully translate business
requirements and their acceptance criteria, as well as manage
backlog of requirements prior to development of the product's
features and functionalities.
- Develop technical design specifications,
administrative/deployment guide, UAT instrument and user guide
documentations required for new Salesforce application
features.
- In partnership with the Technical Director of Product, leverage
Agile principles to refine business requirements, define what
changes to the system interfaces and data flows should occur,
prioritizes work needed in digestible format and either develop
changes or oversee the development of changes.
- Provide complete oversight on operational activities related to
business continuity and resiliency, as well problem and incident
management activities- note: this role requires that the incumbent
consistently monitor Salesforce trailblazer site to stay abreast of
known issues or potential outages that impact Bottom Line.
- Stay abreast of upcoming Salesforce changes and/or upgrades
required that should be incorporated into Bottom Line Salesforce
Instance.
