Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior-Level Manufacturing Engineers to become part of the Factory Support Collaboration Center (FSCC) VC-25B team in San Antonio, TX.
This role will focus on providing technical input regarding aircraft build processes and procedures as well as engineering leadership to a team representing multi-skill areas and driving project execution through cross-functional collaboration. The selected candidate will also project manage various production improvement opportunities at a program level.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.
  • Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.
  • Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals for authorization.
  • Ensure enablers are documented and functional teams are aligned, committed and on plan.
  • Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program. Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity.
  • Identifies and investigates processes and procedures which may affect process improvements.
  • Understand aircraft build production flow in a Maintenance/Modification environment.
  • Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned.
  • Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements.
  • Works with customers and management to obtain approval.
  • Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.
  • Leads project execution to complete the work statement.
  • Identifies & integrates performance metrics. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
    100% onsite:
    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (San Antonio, TX).
    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar Engineering degree.
    • 3+ years' experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
    • 3+ years' experience applying professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • 9+ years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • 3+ years' experience in manufacturing support.
      • 3+ years' experience managing and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced environment.
      • 2+ years' experience leading or managing a team in a diverse or multi skill discipline.
      • 2+years' experience working in a commercial Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environment.
      • 2 years' experience with Program Management Best Practices including Base Line Management, Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management, Performance Metrics, Customer Communications, Requirements Management, Supplier Management, and/or Earned Value Management.
      • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and team skills.
      • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills. Typical Education & Experience:
        Experienced-Level:
        Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
        Senior-Level:
        Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
