Job Description:

The Water Wastewater Engineer will provide support for civil and environmental engineering projects including wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, and -design, -and water distribution system design.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Texas-Licensed P.E. certification
• Minimum -three years of experience working with City of San Antonio projects.
• This position will require an estimated local travel/field work for site inspections and meetings with client site representative and construction contractors.
• Excellent writing/verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, -clients, -and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent organization and design planning skills.
• Self-starter, detailed oriented, and finisher.
• Proficient using typical business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, etc.).
• AutoCAD/GIS operating knowledge is preferred. - -Expected Outcomes:

  • Pipeline routing alternatives design and analysis
  • Field investigations/site reconnaissance
  • Project permitting with City of San Antonio and coordination with regulatory agencies

  • Erosion/sedimentation control and tree protection plans
  • Engineering cost estimating and analysis
  • Wastewater flow development and hydraulics analysis
  • Engineering design calculations
  • Engineering specification review and preparation of contract documents for construction
  • Bid and award services
  • Construction phase engineering services.
  • Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates
  • Coordinate with team surveying, geotechnical, structural engineering, and electrical engineering subconsultants
