SW Engineer Lead (Job Number:440604)Description: JOB DESCRIPTION:SAIC is seeking candidates to support integration of diverse planning and analytics applications across Joint Combatant Commands, Services and Agencies (C/S/A). We are pursuing an exciting opportunity to help modernize, consolidate and coordinate the integration of disparate platforms used by multiple DoD and federal agencies used in military cyberspace operations. We will need to integrate and modernize existing stove-piped systems and applications by migrating them to a cyber-factory in a private cloud in a planned and efficient manner to provide increased capabilities and reliability while simultaneously supporting ongoing cyber space operations. This multi-year opportunity provides a skilled candidate with the opportunity to hone their craft while working in an exciting, diverse and fast-paced environment on the cutting edge of Cyber.In this position, you will exercise both thought leadership and practical engineering application by leveraging your experience in project management to integrate and transform disparate Defense organizations' architectures into a consistent and complete set of operational, capability, system, services and data views. You will apply industry best practices, processes and techniques across the enterprise and lead the development of a holistic enterprise architecture model for the organization, from all architecture perspectives (Business Services/Processes, Information/Data, Applications, Technology/Infrastructure/Operations, and Security). As the Project Manager for the Systems Team or Fielding team, you will use your knowledge of project management processes, methods, tools, and program roles to implement and deploy enterprise improvements developed by the architecture, engineering and agile development teams. You will learn, apply, and continuously improve our current Model Based SEI platform to capture stakeholder and system requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of SEI solution usage, and enhance the model based engineering culture and provide feedback and usage data. As the project manager, you will be required to mentor others on solution, tool and modeling standards.Primary duties include, but are not limited to:- Demonstrated verbal, presentation and writing skills- Management of day-to-day fielding and support activities for the entire enterprise- Responsible for the definition and communication of the Enterprise status, user feedback and stakeholder needs.- Experience using enterprise modeling tools to model complex systems using SysML, UPDM, BPMN, and/or UAF is a plus- Lead Fielding teams through all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle using MBSE on the fielded systems- Develop and implement project rhythm and status reporting tools and methodologies.- Assess and evaluate COTS automation tools for development, test and deployment- Train and support agile development teams in use of pipeline tools and in configuration of services.- Deploy and configure tools in the cloudQualifications: TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experienceCLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:- An active DoD Top Secret with SCI eligibility is preferred; however, applicants with active DoD Secret clearances are encouraged to apply.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Bachelors and five (5) years or more of related experience; Masters and three (3) years or more related experience; PhD and 0 years of experience.- Five (5) year or more of DevOps experience, including automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment- Experience or familiarity with SAFe and DevOps methodologies- Familiarity with administration of Model Based Engineering tools- Proven ability to lead a diverse team- Ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment- Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment- Strong written, communication, and presentation skills - Experience supporting US Federal Government agencies and processesDESIRED:- Knowledge of DODI 5000.02- Practical experience with IEEE 15288- INCOSE Certification (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP) dependent on experience.
