Overview The Department of the Army has designated the Mission Training Complex (MTC) as the vehicle for providing collective training for Army leaders, Soldiers and staffs on the art and science of Mission Command. This training supports small units (squads through companies) and medium-sized units (battalions and brigades) in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Full Spectrum Operations (FSO). In order to function effectively in the Army's Unified Land Operations operating environment, units and leaders must receive the best training available to enable them to successfully carry out mission-type orders. The Mission Training Complex at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) allows a fuller, immersed view of the battlefield and gives commanders at all levels better situational awareness. Capstone endeavors to support the JBSA MTC with collective Mission Command training, Leader Training and Development, Games for Training (GFT), and constructive simulations-supported training, as well as facilities management and access control. The MTC provides training for units and institutions in the greater San Antonio area, including the US Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Center of Excellence (School and Center), the Army Medical Command (MEDCOM, medical units, both Active and Reserve), Army Component, Northern Command (ARNORTH), Army Command, Southern Command (ARSOUTH), 24th Air Force Cyber Mission Elements, Defense Health Affairs, and the Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), San Antonio. This position is located at the Mission Training Complex, Joint Base San Antonio, TX. The position will be filled upon contract award. Responsibilities * Serves as the overall communications architect and Alternate Information Assurance Support Officer (IASO) for the MTC with coordination responsibility with outside agencies and MTC branches. * Creates and establishes communications architecture, coordinates communications plans, configures communications equipment, implements Information Assurance processes, and assists in installing equipment and circuitry in support of distributed exercises. * Coordinates all aspects of the communications architecture and exercise support plans with communications planners at other simulation facilities, the JBSA Network Enterprise Center, and participating military units (Note: communications plans include distribution of data, voice, and video over both LAN and WAN in both classified and unclassified modes for simulations/stimulation networks; NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and tactical networks). Basic Qualifications Minimum education and experience: -- * Bachelor's degree in related discipline. * Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in Network Architecture Design and implementation. Minimum qualification: -- * Experience with advanced planning, troubleshooting and maintenance skills on servers, routers, switches, firewall configuration and configuration/architecture. * Strong understanding of technology integration and information flow including LAN/WAN, firewalls, security, storage, and backup methodologies. * Knowledge of specific product lines (for example Cisco, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, Tripwire, etc.). * Understanding of the RMF Certification and Accreditation process and Information Assurance requirements. Minimum certifications: -- * Computing Environment (CE) Certification at Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II. Minimum clearance * Current Top Secret clearance.
