Purpose of JobWe are currently seeking a talented Manager in Property Claims Operations and can work from any USAA Office OR Remotely (Work@Home).

This position will lead a team of Examiners who serve our membership in the Central and Western United States. Must be available to support these business hours.

Manager, Property Claims Operations (Complex Claims Concierge Team)

Manages auto, property, subrogation, and/or physical damage member service employees who are dedicated to knowing our members, understanding their individual needs, and providing appropriate solutions. Develops employees through regular coaching and feedback that leads to improved results. Executes process improvements and leads organizational process changes.   • Through a variety of tools monitors and reviews workload to ensure that all compliance requirements are addressed appropriately, payments are accurate, that there is consistent execution of standardized automated processes, and properly manages the expenses associated with adjusting a claim.
  • Provides consistent coaching and guidance related to a variety of aspects associated to the claim including but not limited to the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, settlement, and subrogation.Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor s Degree (NOTE: 2 or more years demonstrated leadership which may include people management experience in P&C Claims, Financial Services Industry, Customer Service Industry, or equivalent military service/environment AND actively enrolled in pursuing a degree may be substituted in lieu of a degree.)
    • 6 or more years P&C property claims work experience OR
    • 4 or more years P&C property claims experience plus military service experience OR
    • 4 or more years P&C property claims experience and 2 years prior customer service-related experience OR
    • 4 or more years P&C property claims experience and a Manager Candidate School graduate.
      Acquisition and maintenance of applicable insurance adjuster license.*Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level*When you apply for this position, you will be required to answer some initial questions.       • Knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law
      • Knowledge of Xactimate, Xactanalysis and Xact Contents
      • 5 years of property claims experience handling moderate to complex dwelling and liability claims
      • 2+ years prior management experience managing Examiner Level claims professionals (complex property)
      • P&C claims leadership experience with development skills
      • Bachelor s or advanced degree
      • Related Professional Certification(s)/Designation(s)
      • Superb interpersonal skills including verbal and written communications
      • Demonstrated strong training, coaching, mentoring skills
