Position SummaryPerformance Development Group is working with a client who is in need of a 1099 Contractor for a 100% remote contract. Contract is for 40-hours per week for 12-months with potential to renew.
The Commercial Operations Project Manager (Commercial Ops PM) is responsible for delivering and executing concurrent projects staffed with training and/or management resources, maintaining client satisfaction, and enhancing project management methodologies and toolsets. The Project Manager will manage cross-functional project teams in support of key Commercial Operations initiatives including national sales meetings (NSM) and product launches. This position may also support larger, centralized projects, aligning functional work streams. The best-fit candidate for this role will have project management experience in Life Sciences industry, BioPharma preferred, and have a strong sense of emotional intelligence, exhibit confidence, poise under pressure, and have a can-do attitude.
ResponsibilitiesThe Commercial Ops PM will:

  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Proactively anticipate needs and scope solutions to meet needs
  • Establish and maintain standards, metrics, best practices and identify efficiencies
  • Balance resource needs with project needs
  • Ensure that data in relevant applications is populated, maintained, and updated
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for on-time, on-budget delivery of client project portfolios
  • Create project schedules, communication plans, meeting schedules, and agendas
  • Travel to support projects managed, as required
  • Assume responsibility to the sponsor/client for the quality of the finished product
    RequirementsEducation and Professional ExperienceThe Commercial Ops PM has:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field
    • Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience with Product Launch experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience within Pharmaceuticals (required) and Life Sciences Commercial Operations
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional services Consulting environment (preferred)
      General Knowledge and SkillsThe Commercial Ops PM must be able to:
      • Exhibit strong professional development skills, including leadership, problem solving, vendor management, and switch-tasking capabilities
      • Establish relationships at all levels in the organization including the client executive level
      • Manage client-facing projects
      • Manage assigned resources and vendor costs for multiple projects of varying scales that run concurrently
      • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
      • Have an extensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
      • Exhibit strong attention to detail in composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, scheduling, and meeting deadlines
      • Discuss and implement process and methodology development
      • Use scheduling, productivity, and communication tools including Smartsheets, Excel spreadsheets, and video conferencing technologies
      • Thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven organization
      • Discuss the fundamentals of instructional design (preferred)
      • Discuss, explain, and/or recommend multimedia and web-based training solutions (preferred)
