Responsible for the management of all aspects of the A La Carte Department functions in accordance with The Argyle's Club standards. Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff to ensure 100% guest satisfaction. Motivates, coaches, delegates, trains and retrains A La Carte staff. Acts as a leader and role model with strong personal and interpersonal skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

l Schedules personnel and plans room set-up based upon anticipated guest counts and membership needs.

l Takes reservations and checks table reservation schedules for lunch, dinner or private functions.

l Computer skills such as POS System- making weekly updates, Microsoft Word, Excel, Emails, etc.

l Greets and seats members and guests.

l Carefully supervises to help assure proper service; takes orders when necessary to unsure member's satisfaction.

l Inspects dining room employees to ensure that uniform and grooming standards are satisfactory.

l Hires, trains and supervises dining room staff.

l Serves as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff.

l Receives and handles complaints concerning food, beverages or service.

l Assures that all side work is accomplished and all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.

l Directs pre-meal meetings with dining room personnel. Relays information and policy changes.

l Assures the correct appearance, cleanliness and proper set-up of the dining rooms. Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room and reports deficiencies.

l Makes suggestions about improvements in dining room procedures and layout.

l Produces daily/meal period sales analyses and other reports from the POS system and makes recommendations.

l Assures that the dining room and other club areas are secure at the end of the business day.

l Keeps an inventory of dining room items including silverware, glassware, tableware, etc.

l Develops and maintains the guest dining room reservation system.

l Develops and implements an on-going marketing program to increase dining room business.

l Develops and supervises sales income control system.

l Monitors dining room labor and supplies budget; makes adjustments as necessary to achieve financial goals.

l Complies with all health and safety regulations.

l Performs other duties as assigned by F&B Manager.

l Implement and monitors sanitation and cleaning schedules.

l Establishes updates and maintains all written standards and procedures for the department as needed.

l Inspects the work areas for cleanliness, maintenance and housekeeping on daily basis and conducts meetings to communicate irregularities.

l Updates wine list, vino pad entries and regular dining menus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
