Job Description:
The Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management at
Schreiner University seeks qualified individuals to serve as
Adjunct Instructors for undergraduate classes including, but not
limited to:
- Sport Practicum
- Introduction to Exercise Science
- Introduction to Sport Management
- Fitness and Wellness
- Exercise Physiology Laboratory
- Exercise Testing and Prescription Laboratory
- Readings in Exercise Science and Sport ManagementMINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and
EXPERIENCE)
- Master's degree in the respective or related area
- Minimum of 18 graduate of hours in the discipline
- Professional license/certificate in the respective area when
applicable
- Possess excellent communication skills and ability to
communicate effectively with students with a wide range of
skills
- Ability to use technology in teaching
- Use and maintenance of Exercise Science laboratory
equipment
- Ability to use collaborative learning techniques and
student-centered methods of instruction
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and
weekend assignments
- Daytime availability a plus (in some cases, may be required) In
