Job Description

iProspect is growing the project management department and we are
offering an exceptional opportunity to play an integral part in the
overall success of a portfolio of digital marketing projects while
working within a friendly, ambitious, and talented team, passionate
for all things digital.
We are looking for an exceptional leader to join the iProspect
Project Management team. The position requires you to be skilled at
managing and delivering multiple digital marketing projects from
inception to completion with near perfect on-time delivery rates,
tight alignments to agreed-upon deliverables, within budget
execution, strong adherence to meeting quality standards, and an
excellent facilitator of risk and issue management while applying
many different methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, and
SCRUM.
Our ideal candidate must embrace and exemplify project management
excellence because he/she will help guide and direct many project
managers who operate on elite teams with incredibly high standards
while working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and forward thinking agency
environment. Working closely with clients, subject matter experts,
and third party vendors, you and your employees will oversee the
management of multiple concurrent projects and multi-disciplinary
teams to meet our clients' strategic and tactical digital marketing
objectives.
As a vital member of the account team, you must be proactive, have
excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be
confident in your ability to meticulously organize and keep your
projects moving forward from the front lines, keeping all
stakeholders up to date with progress and overcoming all the
inevitable hurdles along the way. As a regional department leader,
you will also be responsible for contributing to the strategic
growth and development of the agency's Project Management Office
(PMO).
Additionally, you must be comfortable in developing junior team
members in key project management areas as well as help them with
their work prioritization, team leadership, and contract
pricing/scoping.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead a team of regional project managers of varying levels
across multiple offices
- Act as the Hiring Manager for new PMO positions in the
region
- Manage team workload, assigning team members to accounts, as
necessary
- Ensure team members know their team and departmental
obligations, always providing them with the necessary support and
inspiration to achieve them
- Act as a partner to regional Managing Directors and Group
Account Directors, being the voice of the PMO for the
office/region
- Provide updates to cross-functional regional leadership teams,
promoting partnership and collaboration
- Work with department leaders to understand project management
support needs and assign resources appropriately
- Scope out project management support for new business and
adjust support for existing business when/where necessary
- Oversee the day-to-day management of multiple concurrent
projects and cross-functional team members via web-based project
management software
- Lead regional PMs to improve internal and external processes
for lasting solutions
- Mentor and train junior team members in all aspects of digital
marketing project management
- Lead and develop efforts to maintain and grow repositories of
project management tools and materials in order to mature the
department
- Support junior team members in creating and executing project
plans, revising them as appropriate to meet continuously changing
needs and requirements
- Oversee all aspects of your projects and the projects of junior
team members: scope, risk, schedule, budget, quality, and
communication to stakeholders' fullest satisfaction
- Lead internal and external status meetings effectively;
capture, store and distribute meeting notes
- Evaluate new work requests, identify resources needed, assign
individual responsibilities, and schedule action items
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to internal teams
and/or client stakeholders
- Act as point of escalation internally and with the client for
all issues, bug reports, and change orders
- Draft SOWs with input from other team members and obtain proper
internal approvals
- Enforce standards with junior team members to review all work
before delivering to client; coordinate internal reviews and
implement necessary QA steps to ensure product quality
- Keep track of lessons learned and share with internal and
external team members
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop
strategic/creative thinking for clients
- Coordinate and lead company initiatives with other departmental
leaders
- Conduct rapid and dynamic risk and issue management using
company tools or new, self-developed methods/forms as necessary to
keep project operations and resources within contractual
constraints
- Lead and develop company and department wide training programs
as necessary
- Contribute to company culture and local events
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Subject Matter Expertise in digital marketing (e.g.: SEO, SEM,
Content Marketing, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, supervisor, and team management skills
and experience
- Professional approach and comfort with conflict management and
mediation
- Proficient in all aspects of traditional project management
process groups (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring /
controlling, closing)
- Ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks, and handle a
range of projects simultaneously within a high-pressure
environment
- Possess understanding of basic revenue models, P/L, and
cost-to-completion projections and ability to make informed
decisions accordingly
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communications skills
with tenacity to solve clients' problems quickly and to provide
them with excellent service
- Process driven, highly organized and methodical with excellent
time management skills, strong business ethics, and political
awareness
- An enthusiastic and committed attitude, flexible
problem-solver, open to participate and promote change within the
organization
- Self-starter with ability to think independently and work
autonomously when necessary and a desire to succeed among fellow
professionals
- Research and analysis with a strong knack for creative thinking
and an outside-the-box-approach to problem solving
- Diplomacy and negotiation skills, knowing when and how to
escalate and hold team members accountable
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree is required, but a graduate degree (e.g.: an
MBA or equivalent) is strongly preferred
- ScrumMaster certification (CSM) is a strong plus and a PMP,
PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or CSP certification or equivalent is also highly
encouraged
- At least (5) years of experience leading projects within an
interactive advertising or digital marketing agency
environment
- At least (3) years of experience leading digital marketing
projects, such as SEO and/or Paid Search engagements
- At least (2) years of experience managing, mentoring, coaching,
appraising, and developing a team of three (3) to five (5) Project
Managers required (preferably in multiple offices)
