Job Description:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for managing a team of business development representatives. This will be a player coach role and the first position of its kind at Stirista. The BDM is primarily responsible for hiring, training, managing BDRs and helping them identify new prospects to solicit and sell Stirista solution offerings. The person will help match prospect needs to solutions, and transition interested prospects to our Account Executives. The BDM is adept at identifying and managing a comprehensive and fluid sales pipeline, developing new opportunities across all channels and platforms, and adding new prospects to the pipeline.

BDM team will engage in sales activities and meetings focused on generating trust and establishing relationships with key decision-makers and influencers. They ensure adequate time is spent on prospecting outreach through phone, email, and cold calling to create the necessary opportunities resulting in sales. The BDM is also responsible for overseeing daily operations in the Business Development department.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Hire & train BDRs in San Antonio.
Generate scripts and manage sales pipeline for BDRs.
Identify and research target companies, customers, or clients to investigate the potential of a partnership.
Target net NEW business that would be transitioned over to AE, prioritized by opportunity size.
Quickly and efficiently qualify potential opportunities with a prospect.
Develop customer relationships regardless of the prospect's contractual status with competitors and proactively create awareness of solutions.
Skilled in cold calling, setting up in-person or video meetings to understand the prospects' needs and motivations to enable a partnership with Stirista.
Work with internal departments such as the Data and Marketing teams to be aligned on growth initiatives, finding ways to promote the brand and generate awareness and leverage insights and deep understanding of the market and competition.
Effectively engage and utilize internal support functions for the contracting process and problem resolution.
Enter and maintain customer information, notes, and activities in the CRM tool throughout the sales cycle.
Responsible for hiring and training Business Development sales staff, relaying information from upper management to department about sales quotas and generating leads to divide among Business Development Representatives.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Previous experience working as a SDR/BDR
Previous experience managing a SDR/BDR team a huge +
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment with multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
Proven ability to sell personally and teach other how to sell.
Strong verbal, written and face to face communication skills.
Ability to resolve conflict diplomatically.
Proven ability in leadership and building cohesive teams
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and related software.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
3-5 years' experience in sales and business development.
5+ years' experience and demonstrated success in quota-driven sales (Industry experience/ knowledge preferred) and prospecting for new business.
Knowledge and experience with CRM utilization (preferably Salesforce)
