The HR Director is responsible for overseeing the successful operations of the HR Department. The HR Director reviews employee data, investigates employee complaints and manages HR functions across the agency. Competencies - Business Acumen - Integrity / Honesty - Critical Thinking - Performance Management - Communication Minimum Qualifications: - Education - Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferredJob Requirements:Position Responsibilities: - - - - - - - - Collaborate with Senior Leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategies related to staffing, recruitment, and retention - - - - - - - - Monitor and ensure the organizations compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations - - - - - - - - Facilitate performance issues to include conducting internal HR related investigations - - - - - - - - Handling employee relations - - - - - - - - Development and management of the HR department budget - - - - - - - - Assessing staffing needs - - - - - - - - Recruits, interviews, hires, trains and supervises staff in HR department - - - - - - - - Oversee the daily workflow of the HR department - - - - - - - - Explains and provides information on employee benefits, insurance, retirement, programs, and education - - - - - - - - Oversee HR payroll system and complete periodic audits to ensure ongoing performance quality improvement - - - - - - - - Oversight to ensure compliance with employee records and paperwork - - - - - - - - Represents employer in the community events - - - - - - - - Position classification and grading - - - - - - - - Consultation and advisory services to management and employees (grievances) - - - - - - - - Policy development and management for human resource specific policies - - - - - - - - Answers employee questions and addresses employee concerns with the agency; including employee safety, welfare, wellness and health - - - - - - - - Separation from employer coordination - - - - - - - - Coordination and/or facilitation of training opportunities/employee development - - - - - - - - FMLA coordination - - - - - - - - Workers' compensation coordination - - - - - - - - Background tracking and coordination - - - - - - - - Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory. - - - - - - - - Other duties as assigned - Experience - - - - - - - - At least five years of human resource management experience required - - - - - - - - Nonprofit experience, preferred - License and Credentials - - - - - - - - Reliable transportation o Valid driver license - - - - - - - - Clean driving record - - - - - - - - Ability to pass background check Minimum Knowledge and Skills: - Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills - Strong leadership and managerial skills to oversee the HR department and work with all employees within the company - Project and time management skills - Organizational skills - Proven expertise solving problems - Budge management skills - Knowledge of computers to perform necessary tasks with common office and HR programs Travel Requirements: Travel requirements for the position includes 30% local and 10% non-local. Remaining 60% will be at work location for position
