Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB)
Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) is at the center of our
efforts to rebuild trust and transform the way we serve our
customers and clients. The CSBB organization is focused on

wherever they choose through a broad suite of financial products

The Consumer and Small Business Diverse Customer Segment team will
work to fulfill our responsibility to improve financial opportunity
for all. The team will utilize data and seek to understand the
barriers to success that diverse segments face and provide
solutions, services and proactive outreach to support closing the
gaps.
About this role:
This position is responsible for leading Wells Fargo's Consumer
Banking diverse segment strategy. This leader will work to increase
penetration of our diverse customer base specific to Asian,
Black/African American, Hispanic/Latin, Women, LGBTQ & Persons with
disabilities. Provide segment leadership and overall initiative
management.
Understand the insights and trends and solve for their needs via
products, services, tools, and resources for these segments. Acts
as a strategic hub between line of business channels and product
partners by providing holistic opportunity identification and
thought leadership. Work to increase brand awareness and cultural
relevance. Partner with marketing to develop offerings that will
increase market share and meet the unique needs of this
segment.
This leader will understand the needs of Asian, Hispanic/Latino,
African American populations across mass market, underbanked,
emerging affluent, affluent segments. This leader will work to
provide diverse customers access to all physical and virtual
banking channels, ideate and support creation of relevant products
and services for these communities; for example, help those who
have come into first generation wealth understand the approaches of
wealth transfer. They will leverage data/analytics to understand
penetration and attrition rates of these segments and the rationale
for attrition. Additionally, they will work to evaluate and elevate
our financial health approaches, work to identify target audiences
and collaborate across business lines to bring the totality of
Wells Fargo's resources to these communities.
The Candidate
The successful candidate must have strong understanding of business
drivers and processes and be an effective influencer that has
credibility with business leaders and able to offer credible
challenge as needed. This leader must be an exceptional leader and
will be recognized for accomplishments related to hiring,
retaining, and developing a world-class staff. Successful
candidates will possess a demonstrated leadership capability and
will have strong interpersonal effectiveness. Leadership,
relationship management, and credibility will be determining
factors in selection.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent
demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of Management experience
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of Retail Banking, Wealth & Financial Services
business lines, products, and services
Experience creating and implementing customer segment
strategies
Strong risk management and compliance knowledge
Must have strong relationship management and proven leadership
skills, with solid conflict management, negotiation, and
organizational effectiveness techniques
Demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a heavily matrixed
organization with a high degree of initiative and strong ability to
meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight
Proven success recruiting, inspiring, developing, coaching, and
motivating team members through balanced leadership with a focus on
team member engagement and retention and performance management
Ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically to senior and
Leader leaders and simplify the complex
Ability to influence without direct authority, create and manage
(while achieving results) large-scale change and influence people
at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong credible
relationships with key stakeholder groups including Leader
management, regulatory examiners, and internal auditors
