DescriptionArea Vice President - Multi-Area Sales is responsible
for the overall general management and success of sales for
multiple Areas or sub-region within a Region. Leads Areas and sales
teams in the planning and implementation of strategies resulting in
the achievement of sales and profit targets. Provides strategic
direction to Area sales leadership, provides sales related support
to market/branch management, and ensures activities of assigned
sales force for the purposes of meeting and exceeding profit
targets. Identifies high dollar prospects within an assigned Area,
makes sales calls, prepares/delivers sales presentations and
gathers/organizes information for use in proposal/contract
pricings. Works with Managed Care Sales to cultivate, reinforce,
and support managed care agreements. Ensures sales team has the
necessary training to improve selling effectiveness and
consistently meet or exceed sales goals. Works under general
direction of the Regional Vice President of
Sales.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:--- Assists the Regional
Vice President - Sales in driving overall revenue, business mix and
sales strategy for assigned Area(s)/sub-region--- Directs the
development and training of the sales team and manages their
activities. Implements appropriate sales structure and prioritizes
key customers in accordance with market sales plan--- Assesses
market and establishes with RVP - Sales the multi-area strategic
sales goals, tactics, and sales team performance levels--- Manages
multi-area sales organization and activities to meet/exceed sales
targets--- Identifies high dollar prospects within the Area and
sub-regions and ensures staff prioritizes accounts to comply with
corporate sales plan. Makes contact with key accounts and targets
within region. Coordinates sales activity and closes medium to
large---- Develops and executes area and/or sub-region specific
annual strategic plan/budget and growth strategy. Identifies
resources and methods to the achievement of such. Monitors
strategic sales plan throughout the year and adjusts plan if
necessary--- Works with direct reports ensuring achievement of
established sales goals and compliance with established budgetary
constraints. Identifies multi-area sales deployment requirements
and works within established Company guidelines in order to achieve
or exceed sales goals.--- Ensures sales teams are working with
appropriate Home Health Sales management/staff to cultivate,
support and reinforce CenterWell Home Health account agreements
within areas or sub-region--- Establishes/maintains working
relationships with key line, i.e. Contracts, Marketing, Clinical
and Specialty management staff to ensure thorough understanding of
Company products/services. Ensures sales staff is kept abreast of
assigned product lines/ser--- Performs all duties inherent in a
managerial role. Attracts, rewards, and develops staff, ensuring
effective staff competency; evaluates staff performance and
recommends personnel issues as appropriateRequired
Qualifications:--- Experience in the health care industry is
essential and prior home health experience is highly desirable---
Experience providing leadership and direction to sales team---
Strong history and success in growth performance and budget
achievements, strategic planning, and financial acumen--- Broad
knowledge of the insurance, case management, home health,
self-insured and managed care marketplace and marketing/sales
techniques required--- Strong ability to negotiate and influence
sales outcomes--- Excellent interpersonal, organizational,
presentation, communication skills and computer literacy also
required--- Must read, write and speak fluent English.--- Must have
good and regular attendance.--- Approximate percent of time
required to travel: 70%--- Performs other related duties as
assigned--- Bachelors / Associates degreePreferred
Qualifications:--- Experience managing large areas with a combined
scope of $100 million or higher in annual revenues--- Minimum of
eight years multi-site sales experience with at least one year
leading a large or multi-area sales force--- RN, LPN, LVN, RT
licensureScheduled Weekly Hours40
