Position Summary

The VP of Marketing at Company will be a seasoned marketing executive prepared to challenge the status quo, grow a business to new heights, and lead a talented team in all aspects of lead generation, conversion, and brand awareness. Our ideal candidate will have strong digital marketing experience, with a demonstrated ability to own a full P&L and prove the direct correlation between marketing efforts and actual sales.

The VP of Marketing will be responsible for all aspects of our marketing strategy including, but not limited to, demand generation, inbound and outbound digital marketing, content marketing, pipeline creation, and sales conversions. Hands-on experience with marketing automation software such as Outreach, Marketo, Salesforce, and HubSpot preferred.

Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and strategic direction in planning, developing and executing marketing projects to meet company goals in order to create brand awareness and provide better customer service Understand and optimize multi-channel marketing, including digital, social media, PR, advertising, website, sales platforms and events Utilize SEO and multiple digital platforms to drive B2B sale growth and brand exposure Set strategic marketing messaging and ensure all facets of marketing communications are aligned with the company’s brand promise, messages and image; work to integrate branding and marketing initiatives to reflect service capabilities, gain public awareness, develop synergies, save costs and grow the business Ensure all marketing initiatives, digital programs and graphics are in line with brand guidelines Responsible for website design development, content, maintenance, compliance, branding, messages, product and service offers Responsible for the evolution of website and online presence to reflect current use of technology and search engine tools, etc. Develop marketing business plans, and oversee the tactical execution of those plans Actively engage external partners in appropriate strategic and tactical discussions on marketing plans, campaigns and public relations events Oversee all marketing promotional materials, collateral, brochures, direct mail and merchandising, including design, production, and delivery of brochures and sales promotion programs Responsible for developing, tracking and reporting on the comprehensive and long term social media strategy plans and framework involving the development of social media policies and compliance, procedures and channels management, and overall implementation Work with internal partners and outside vendor/agency as appropriate including contract negotiations and fulfillment Plans and support special events to promote the company, customer relationships and community involvement, including event agenda, speakers, venue selection, event production and presentation, guest list, invitations, entertainment, refreshments, decorations, merchandising and promotions as necessary Define and establish tracking method for operational metrics, ensure regular performance assessment of marketing team members, communicate key metrics to Executive Team, company and the board, and own marketing budget Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Marketing or Communications; Master’s degree preferred 8+ years’ experience managing a marketing team and marketing budget Proven experience in B2B marketing and sales with strong digital background Quantifiable results growing organizations; entrepreneurial experience preferred SaaS industry experience preferred Strong ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and provide clarity and understanding of marketing strategy and initiatives to the marketing team and leadership Strong problem solving, analytical and thought leadership skills Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to quickly understand the big picture, but also to “dive deep” when appropriate Ability to effectively balance working independently with minimal supervision while keeping leadership informed about emerging issues and significant activities
