Details****Description****As a Healthcare Customer Advocate, you
will:*** Answer incoming calls and professionally respond to
inquiries* Provide guidance on open enrollment questions, issues
and benefit options* Compare benefits during open enrollment and
special enrollment periods* Help patients navigate their benefit
choices and options for all types of medical needs (surgery, lab
needs, specialist visits, etc.)* Leverage your understanding of
coinsurances, copays, deductibles, authorization requirements and
more* Field questions related to all types of benefit plans,
including:* HMO, PPO, EPO* Health Savings Accounts/Flexible
Spending Accounts* Coordination of Benefits and understanding
primary and secondary plans* COBRA* Medicare Part A, B and D*
Medicare replacement plans* Government programs and resources*
Legislation and mandates* Fully insured and self-insured
plans**Qualifications**:* High school degree or GED required*
Minimum of 6 months in healthcare or benefit experience required*
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word* Previous benefits experience
preferred* Strong communication skills and phone etiquette* Strong
ability to explain complex issues to patients, consumers, health
plan members* Strong problem-solving and resolution skills* Highly
effective listening
