Part Time position: 20 - 30 hours a week Monday - Friday - 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and Saturday - 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

QTC Management is seeking a qualified candidate for a Part-Time Medical Assistant position in our San Antonio, TX Clinic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs routine front and back office duties for multispecialty exams and a variety of clients, to include reception of examinees, answering phones, performing data entry in electronic health record (EHR) and case management systems, exam report reconciliation, appointment scheduling, and assisting in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. - The Medical Assistant interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patients' charts, draws and collects blood samples from patients, prepares specimens for laboratory analysis, and conducts a variety of diagnostic tests. Supports the organization in meeting operational goals and customer requirements.

  Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)

  • High School diploma, or equivalent (GED)
    
  • Associate degree in Medical Assisting and/or graduation from an accredited vocational Medical Assistant program, and/or military equivalent
    
  • Medical Assistant Certification/Registration or meet state requirements.
    
  • 1 to 3 year of medical assistant experience
    
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)certification required.
    
  • Occupational Hearing Conservationist (OHC) Certification or the ability to successfully completion of certification within 90 days of notification
    
  • Technology-driven medical data entry system experience or related computer data entry
    
  • Experience in Occupational Medicine, or Primary Care work environment preferred
    
  • Must be able and willing to complete annual Respiratory Fit testing and properly wear organizational standard respiratory protective equipment as required.
    
  • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
    
  • Must be eligible to obtain Government Clearances (LARS/Public Trust Clearance)
    
  • Receive a medical clearance that consists of passing an N95 respirator fit test, pass a Tuberculosis/TB test and receive a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or pass a Hepatitis A/B Titer test. - -
    
    Pay and Benefits:
    Hourly Rate $16.00 - $17.66
