POSITION SUMMARYThis position is part of the departmental leadership team that provides clinical supervision on a shift basis including: coordination and assignment of patient care; functions as a unit patient flow coordinator, facilitating admissions, discharges and transfers; coordinates unit staffing for next shift with the Director/Clinical Manager, Coordinator and/or House Officer; serves as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for the staff; provides supervisory input into department staff evaluations and performance reviews. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSMINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursingPREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing or advanced degree in a related fieldMINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year in an equivalent unitPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 4 years in an equivalent unitREQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered NursePREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: National Specialty CertificationREQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):BLS - required for all areas-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training or the Military Training NetworkACLS -required for all areas in Surgery Services and must obtain within 1 year of date of hire or transfer into unitPALS- required for Post Anesthesia and must obtain within 1 year of date of hire or transfer into unit #LI-AG1Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
