seeking a Medical Case Specialist 1 to support our Veteran Affairs

play in this role? As a Medical Case Specialist, you will support
our Veterans Affairs Operations in San Antonio, TX by assisting
veterans coordinate and schedule required medical examinations used
in the evaluation process for VA disability benefits. In this
rewarding role, you will:
- Required to make specific amount of daily outbound calls to
schedule appointments for examinees, including follow-up
appointments and rescheduled appointments while maintaining
customer satisfaction standards.
- Communicate directly with claimants
- Triage daily download of referrals and ensure appropriate
worksheets are assigned to corresponding conditions as identified
by Veteran's Administration
- Determine appropriate examinations, tests and specialists
required for each case
- Meet or exceed contract timeliness guidelines in both the
scheduling and case management systems.
- Ensure all examinees and providers receive necessary
documentation
- Other projects and duties as assigned. You must have:
- High School diploma, or equivalent (GED) or 2 years of
experience in lieu
- 0 to 1 years of related experience Preferred:
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and
verbal
- Experience coordinating appointments for patients.
- Proficiency in utilizing various computer applications (i.e. MS
Office), EMRs and other scheduling software.
- Highly skilled in multi-tasking while managing multiple
priorities Typical Day:
- Training Schedule (1 st 2weeks): Mon - Fri: 8:00am - 4:30pm
CST
- 3 rd week and On schedule: Thurs - Fri 8:00am - 7:00pm CST (1
hr lunch) or 8:30am - 7:00pm CST (30 min lunch); Sat - Sun 8:00am -
5:00pm CST (1hr lunch) or 8:30am - 5:00pm CST (30 min lunch)
- Positions are located ONSITE at our San Antonio - Chisholm
Admin Bldg (located at 4400 N.W. Loop 410 Ste 500, San Antonio, TX
78229). Pay and Benefits: Starting pay: $16.20 per hour $2.00
