Job Description:
Experience: Contract HCWs shall have a minimum experience of two
(2) years within the last three (3) years practicing as a Physician
Radiology. Residency and fellowship time counts as practicing
experience.Contract HCWs shall have experience in performing and or
interpretation of broad scope of general diagnostic radiology
through on site or teleradiology means (e.g., diagnostic x-ray,
mammography, neuroradiology, ultrasound, general nonvascular
interventional procedures, magnetic resonance imaging, computerized
tomography, and fluoroscope procedures).Contract HCWs shall have
sufficient experience and ability to manage a general/minor
interventional procedure (e.g., thyroid fine need aspirations,
image guided chest or abdominal biopsies, breast biopsies).Shall
have demonstrated experience teaching in an Accreditation Council
for Graduate Medical Education-American Osteopathic Association
accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program, fellowship
training, or an equivalent.Board Certification (5.2.6.4.4): Be
board certified by the American Board of Radiology, American
Osteopathic Board of Radiology, or
equivalent.Licensure/Registration: Contract HCWs shall possess and
maintain a valid unrestricted current Texas license. The licenses
and certificates shall be renewed and maintained in a current
status during the life of the contract. Contract HCWs shall obtain
clinical privileges to practice medicine with the applicable MTF
credentials committee.HCW Duties (5.1 Task 1): The duties for the
HCW are as follows: Contract HCWs providing services under this
contract shall perform the same clinical duties as those required
of any Military or Government Civil Service physician of similar
experience. The quality of service shall meet or exceed reasonable
standards of professional practice as determined by the same
authority that governs physician services in the same discipline.
Contract physicians shall perform within the scope of clinical
privileges granted by the MTF and the overall demand for physician
services. Productivity is expected to be comparable to that of
other providers with the same scope of practice. The workload will
be scheduled by the treatment facility. Caseload includes scheduled
and unscheduled requirements for care. Any cancellation of patient
schedules requires approval of the associated Department of
Radiology Chief. Contract HCWs shall have sufficient
training/experience to be able to perform the required duties which
include, but not limited to the following: Performing a full range
of Physician Radiology skills interpreting and analyzing various
medical imaging modalities, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans,
ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.by Jobble
