Job Summary: Hospital Administrator Oversees Nursing Units and Hospital Activities
Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing, supervising clinical and administrative activities, and representing the hospital in the absence of administration and nursing directors/managers.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills is a 150-bed hospital serving the San Antonio area with specialized care in orthopedic and surgical services, ICU, women's services, and more.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Provides supervision and guidance to all areas, visiting units/departments to ascertain status and respond to staffing issues.
  
• Screens incoming patients for appropriateness of admission/transfer and facilitates placement in proper level of care.
  
• Functions as the hospital administrative representative, investigating incidents and events, and taking appropriate action.
  
• Consults with administrator on-call as needed and arranges/facilitates emergency operations.
  
• Performs clinical functions as needed and intervenes in patient, family, and physician complaints.
  
• Provides staffing for oncoming shifts, assigns staff, and makes changes in KRONOS scheduling.
  
• Monitors and utilizes competency/orientation check lists for temporary reassignment of hospital staff and assignment of agency staff.
  
• Provides input to director on staff performance and works collaboratively with other house supervisors and staffing personnel.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of a Registered Nursing program, Bachelor's degree preferred or actively pursuing with completion within 2 years.
    
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
    
  • RN License in state of employment or compact and BLS certification.
