Registered Nurse Opportunity at Valor HealthcareWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Valor Healthcare Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Northeast San Antonio. As a Registered Nurse with Valor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services to America's veterans.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist practitioners with patient care, physical examinations, and ancillary tests.
• Practice specialized skills in patient assessment and triage unscheduled patients requesting care.
• Act as a point person within the Primary Care Team and collaborate with non-VA providers and facilities.
• Provide patient and family health education, focusing on self-management, prevention, and wellness.
• Monitor VA discharge lists and contact patients for follow-up.
• Maintain confidentiality of veterans' data and information.
• Comply with all VA and company training requirements.
• Consult as permitted by the VAMC and fulfill compliance requirements.Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate Degree RN may be considered based on individual VA contract.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a registered nurse in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting; government healthcare environment preferred.
  • Credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  • Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment or any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS as specified by individual VAMC contract.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
