Job Description GQR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Kerrville, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Psychiatric - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/16/2026 - Duration: 26 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, evenings, nights - Employment Type: Travel 202 Bed facility Navy Blue Scrubs Floating: Agency will float but primary need is for the maximum-security unit Orientation: conducted Monday through Friday from 0800-1700, for approximately one month Minimum Requirements: - Must have 2 years RN experience - Psych experience is a must – experience working in a maximum-security unit - Preferably 1 years nursing experience in a behavioral health setting - Charge nurse or supervisory experience is preferred - Must be licensed by the state of Texas or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact for appropriate discipline (RN or LVN/LPN) Shift: Mids or Nights/n5x8s/nOrientation will be 4 weeks; M-F 8-5pm/n/nCase types:/nBehavioral Health/nPsych/nMaximum security/nIndividuals who have been acquitted of a criminal offense and committed by the court to receive inpatient mental health services/nInpatient psychiatric hospital About GQR Healthcare GQR’s Healthcare team specializes in connecting experts within the industry to highly skilled healthcare professionals across the US market.
