Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery/Perinatal with high volume delivery service License: Registered Nurse license in Texas Certifications: - BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted - Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics - Advanced Life Support certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification Must-Have: - 2 years minimum of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in high volume delivery service Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. The nurse will work in a high-risk, fast-paced delivery service. The facility consists of LDR suites, C-section suites, Triage rooms, and Mother-Baby Couplet rooms. There is 24-hour in-house attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage. The service performs over 500 deliveries per month. A Perinatal Transport Program is also in place. Substantial experience in perinatal care is preferred, with 3-5 years in a similar environment. Advanced certifications in fetal monitoring and completion of the S.T.A.B.L.E Program are preferred. An Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
