Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Psychiatric - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 26 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse • Mids /n /nLocation: Kerrville, TX /n /nJob Overview: /nJoin our team as a Behavioral Health RN in a supportive environment, providing care in a maximum•security inpatient psychiatric hospital. This role requires a compassionate professional to assess and treat court•committed patients. /n /nKey Responsibilities: /n• Provide nursing care in a maximum•security unit. /n• Collaborate on individualized care plans. /n• Communicate with team and stakeholders. /n• Supervise LVNs per Nurse Practice Act. /n• Maintain documentation and reports. /n• Treat employees injured at work. /n /nSchedule: /n• 40 hours/week, 3 PM • 11 PM shifts. /n• Every other weekend, with two consecutive days off. /n• Orientation: Mon•Fri, 8 AM • 5 PM for four weeks. /n /nRequirements: /n• 2 years RN experience, psychiatric and maximum•security preferred. /n• Behavioral health experience preferred. /n• Valid RN license in Texas or compact state. /n• Complete immunizations and CPR certification. /n• Negative PPD, COVID•19 compliance, drug screen, and background checks. /n /nAdditional Information: /n• Work 2 of 3 major holidays. /n• Navy blue scrubs required. /n• PPE and parking provided. /n /nThis role offers a chance to impact behavioral health positively.
