travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in San Antonio, TX,
requiring at least 1 year of PICU experience and ventilator
proficiency. Details - Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting at a children's
hospital in San Antonio, TX - Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00
AM - 13-week contract duration - Full-time position Requirements -
Active RN license in TX or a compact state - Current BLS, ACLS, and
PALS certifications required (AHA only) - Minimum 1 year of PICU
experience required - Ventilator experience required - BSN
preferred - Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid US Social Security Number required for consideration
Additional Information - Provides routine and complex nursing care
using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning,
intervention, and evaluation - Administers medications and
treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and
effectiveness - Addresses complex psychological, emotional,
cultural, and social needs of pediatric patients and their families
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care
provided - Assesses learning needs and delivers education to
patients, families, and caregivers - New hires are onboarded with a
designated preceptor and must complete organizational and Pediatric
Services-specific competency validations - All newly hired
experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first
30 days - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the
facility to be eligible for travel rates - Temp-to-perm conversion
