Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly
Salary: $1570 - $1650 per week Job Requirements / Qualifications -
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or valid Compact
Nursing License - Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA
only) - Minimum 1 year critical care experience preferred; new
graduate RNs with relevant pediatric cardiac experience may be
considered - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred -
Demonstrated pediatric cardiac experience: chest tubes, pacing
wires, ventilator management, and vasoactive infusions - Experience
with hemodynamic monitoring and postoperative pediatric cardiac
care - Completion of New Nurse Orientation and competency
validations as required by the facility Responsibilities –
Pediatric Cardiac CVICU RN - Provide comprehensive, family-centered
nursing care to pediatric cardiac and post-operative cardiothoracic
patients in the CVICU - Independently assess, plan, implement, and
evaluate patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based
critical care practices - Manage ventilators, chest tubes, pacing
wires, vasoactive drips, and other advanced life support therapies
- Administer medications and titrate infusions while monitoring for
side effects and hemodynamic response - Perform accurate
documentation of patient history, symptoms, interventions, and
outcomes in the electronic health record - Address complex
psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients
and families; provide education on care plans and discharge
resources - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
(cardiologists, surgeons, respiratory therapy, pharmacy) to ensure
optimal patient outcomes - Delegate and supervise tasks
appropriately to support staff and participate in ongoing
