ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in San Antonio, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR ICU/SICU Job Details: • Work 12.5-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 36 guaranteed hours per week • 13-week assignment length • Rotating weekend schedule • No call requirements • Float assignments required per Methodist Floating Policy • Must have minimum 2-3 years ICU experience • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Certification • Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted) • MICU & MSICU background preferred • Meditech charting and order entry experience preferred • Perform procedures including chest tubes, trachs, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes • Documentation system: Meditech • Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants with navy or white scrub jacket • Must badge in/out for shifts and take full 30-minute lunch break • Clock in by 6:38 AM/PM (after 6:45 AM/PM considered tardy) • Strong critical thinking skills required Facility: This hospital has been providing high-quality care to patients from San Antonio and around the world for more than 50 years, opening in 1963 as the first hospital in the internationally acclaimed South Texas Medical Center.
