Requirements - Active and unrestricted RN license (must meet state
requirements for assignment in Texas) - Minimum 1 year of recent
PACU or post-anesthesia care experience required - Current BLS
(required); ACLS preferred - Strong clinical assessment, airway
management, and critical thinking skills - Experience with IV
medications, pain management, monitoring post-operative patients,
and emergency response in PACU - Excellent communication, teamwork,
and documentation skills Responsibilities - Provide high-quality
post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from general,
regional, and monitored anesthesia care - Monitor vital signs,
airway status, pain levels, and recovery milestones; respond
promptly to changes - Administer medications and treatments as
prescribed, including IV medications and analgesics - Collaborate
with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure safe
patient transitions and continuity of care - Perform PACU
assessments, triage patients, and escalate concerns when necessary
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, discharge
criteria, and recovery expectations - Maintain accurate
documentation, adhere to patient safety protocols, and follow
