POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES The Manager, Heart Failure and LVAD Program is responsible for the coordination, management, and ongoing development of the Heart Failure and Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) program across the continuum of care, including ambulatory, inpatient, procedural, and transitional services as applicable. This leadership role ensures delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care; maintains compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and program requirements; and promotes multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient outcomes, safety, and patient experience. The Manager partners closely with the physician and APP leaders, nursing leadership, LVAD coordinators, ICU, rehabilitation, case management, social work, Quality, and other multidisciplinary stakeholders to coordinate, monitor, promote, and evaluate all program components. The Manager provides operational oversight, leads quality and performance improvement initiatives, supports strategic growth and outreach efforts, ensures accurate and timely reporting to internal and external registries/databases, and coordinates education for staff, patients, families, and the community. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field is preferred. Minimum 3 years of healthcare leadership experience, in ambulatory, cardiovascular, or complex chronic disease care settings. Minimum 3 years of experience in heart failure, LVAD, cardiac surgery, or related cardiovascular specialty area is preferred. Demonstrated experience with program standards, policy development, accreditation readiness, and interdisciplinary operations. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, foster collaborative environments, and lead projects and change initiatives. Experience with quality improvement methodologies and data analysis. LICENSURE State of Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Current BLS required. National specialty certification, cardiovascular nursing, ambulatory care, or quality preferred.
