Job Details - Location: Kerrville, TX 78028 (Texas Hill Country) - Job Title: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative RN / Circulating RN - Assignment Type: Travel nurse — 13-week travel assignment - Setting: Main Operating Room (OR) – perioperative environment - Start Date: March 30, 2026 - End Date: June 29, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Day shift, 5 x 8-hour shifts (06:30 – 15:00), Monday–Friday (late shifts mandatory) - Hours per Week: 40 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,220 - $2,340/week - Call: Required – 3-day weekend per month and 1 day per week minimum (nights/weekends/holidays) - Floating: Required to Surgery Center circulating role as needed - Scrubs: Provided - Facility Housing: Available Job Requirements / Qualifications - Minimum 2 years full-time circulating experience in the Operating Room (perioperative/circulating RN experience) - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA certifications required) - CNOR certification preferred - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with a broad variety of surgical procedures (excluding heart, brain, and spine) - Ability to float to the Surgery Center circulating role as needed - First-time travel nurses with the required OR experience are welcome - Must be able to work late shifts and participate in required call rotation Responsibilities - Serve as the primary OR circulator, providing safe, efficient perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures - Float to Surgery Center circulating role as needed to support surgical services - Participate in call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled - Assist with a broad range of surgical cases (excluding heart, brain, and spine), coordinating patient care across the perioperative team - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and ancillary staff - Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and specimen handling protocols - Provide patient-centered care for diverse populations: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics - Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of perioperative nursing practice Experience the charm and hospitality of Kerrville while advancing your career in a supportive and collaborative surgical environment.
