Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises and coordinates the
operation and performance of the diagnostic area of Radiology in
coordination with the professional staff, Chief Radiologist, Chief
Technologist, Assistant Director and/or Director of Radiology.
Performs administrative and patient care duties and ensures the
prompt and efficient performance of all procedures. Keeps abreast
of new technical and theoretical concepts and disseminates
departmental information. Supports University Health’s policies,
values and guest relations initiatives at all times.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Registered by the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Certification by the Texas
Department of Health (MRT) is mandatory. Current BLS for Healthcare
Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association is
mandatory. Three years supervisory experience in a radiology
department is required. Three years of managerial experience is
preferred.
