Job Description Adelphi is seeking an experienced Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric care to adult patients with dual diagnoses in a residential setting in Kerr County, Texas. The ideal candidate will conduct evaluations, deliver treatment, and provide emergency psychiatric services in compliance with state and regulatory guidelines. Job Quick Facts • Ref : BD-673-62 • Profession: Physician • Specialty: Psychiatry • Job Type: Contract (Full-Time) • Contract Length: Minimum 3 months, with option to extend • Location: Kerr County, Texas • Service Setting: Inpatient / Residential (Not outpatient) • Coverage Type: Hybrid (3 weeks telehealth, 1 week onsite preferred) • Schedule: 40 hours per week • Shift Options: Monday–Friday (8-hour shifts), OR 4-day workweek (10-hour shifts; Mon–Thurs or Tues–Fri) On-Call: Not required • Start Date: Immediate (pending completion of clearance requirements) Requirements • Must be a Licensed Physician in the State of Texas • Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License from the Texas Medical Board with no sanctions • Active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification • Must be credentialed with hospitals utilized by the facility • Current CPR certification (American Heart Association approved) • Must complete all credentialing and clearance requirements prior to start • All certifications must remain active throughout the assignment Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care, including psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and treatment • Conduct face-to-face evaluations and ongoing patient monitoring • Work with adult patients with dual diagnoses in a residential (inpatient) setting • Respond to psychiatric emergencies, including emergency calls and restraints • Ensure compliance with Agency policies, facility regulations, and all applicable guidelines • Adhere to attendance and leave policies • Perform duties consistent with those assigned to permanent physicians • Complete additional duties as assigned
