Description Compass Medical Provider, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and qualified Aerospace Medicine Specialist Physician supports the Air Force Accession Medical Waiver Directorate (AMWD) by reviewing medical waiver cases, interpreting Air Force and DoD medical standards, and providing expert recommendations on aeromedical policy and case disposition. Key Responsibilities Review and adjudicate medical waiver cases in accordance with Air Force and DoD standards Analyze medical documentation and prepare clear case summaries and recommendations Serve as a subject matter expert on aeromedical policies and medical fitness criteria Ensure accurate and timely case processing (within 10 business days) Coordinate with military treatment facilities and consultants as needed Assist with policy development, updates, and responses to case inquiries or appeals Maintain compliance with HIPAA and applicable federal regulations Qualifications Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (no adverse actions in past 10 years) Minimum 3 years of military Flight Surgeon experience (within last 15 years) Strong knowledge of Air Force/DoD medical standards (DAFMAN 48-123, DoDI 6130.03, etc.) Experience with aeromedical evaluations and special duty assessments Excellent communication and analytical skills Education & Certification MD or DO (USAF-approved residency/fellowship) Board Certified in Aerospace, Occupational, or Preventive Medicine (or similar) Why Join Us?
