Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join Texas Home Medical part or full-time. This position will be responsible for providing clinical patient DME set-ups and support within the San Antonio location. Responsibilities - Completes patient set-ups for CPAPs, BIPAPs. & Advanced therapy devices - Maintains continuing education as necessary for performance of job responsibilities (as required for state licensure or certification) - Educate patient on respiratory equipment including maintenance and safety - Keep detailed notes of all services performed - Link patients to compliance programs such as AirView - Supports training of other employees at the direction of the management team - Track compliance on all patients set up on PAP therapy - Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by state licensure law or by the management team Education and/or Experience - Completion of a respiratory care degree or related science is preferred - Respiratory therapist certification - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - Experience launching NIV or percussion vest programs is desirable - Maintain CEUs as required by state law Skills, Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information (HIPPA) - Ability to multi-task along with attention to detail - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Communicates effectively with employees, patients and referral sources both verbally and in writing to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner - Ability to overcome patient/customer objections to CPAP/BILEVEL - Flexible approach - Strong self-motivation and time-management skills Contingent On - Background investigation (company-wide) - Drug screen (company-wide) - Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record Company Description Texas Home Medical, Inc. is an independently owned and operated company dedicated to providing the best home medical and respiratory services available.
