Job Description:

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for day to day operations of HR systems transactions ensuring consistent application of HR policies/ procedures/ practices.
  • Conducts research, organizes and maintains all paper and electronic supporting documentation for system changes and employment verifications.
  • Audits for and provides clarification of necessary process step completion to all levels of business area leadership and HR/ Auditing/ Budgeting staff.
  • Answers dedicated phones and educates internal and external customers about CPS Energys Recruitment efforts and processes.
  • Provides reporting and resolves errors in relation to positions and employee information.
  • Supports and coordinates recruitment events and efforts.
  • Creates and maintains all employee files/ records.
    Working Environment:
    • Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
    • Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
    • Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events.
      Physical Demands:
      • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
      • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
      • Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
        Essential Job Function:
        • Processes and maintains all employee/organizational management records within the Human Resources Information System.
        • Handles all Human Resources employee specific inquiries and completes all verifications of employment.
        • Audits all employee/organizational data change requests with in SAP for compliance to organizational guidelines.
        • Applies the Salary Administration Guidelines and Wage Scale Working Manual to effectively guide leadership.
        • Coordinates with internal and external auditors for various audits providing documentation for system updates.
        • Acts as a representative for data validation and testing for the SAP HR system during upgrades/enterprise system modifications.
        • Maintains HR forms and related tables.
        • Provides administrative support to Recruitment Manager and Recruiter Analysts.
        • Creates and maintains all employee files and records within SAP
        • Works with legal on all open records request to provide employment history information
        • Ensure we remain complaint with employment verification laws
        • Reports all new hires into the Texas Attorney General Office database site to ensure state required compliance
        • Reports all new hires to the E-Verify Department of Homeland Security computer system to ensure compliance within US government regulations
        • Ensures the completion and validation of all HR related new hire documents; I-9 form, W-4, Direct Deposit, Acknowledgement forms.
        • Enter all EEO and OFCCP related information into SAP for all employee records
        • Performs all expense reporting in relation to p-cards, POs, NPOs, and service entries
        • Responsible for on-boarding all new hires and re-hires within SAP
        • Serves as point of contact for all related recruitment inquiries and request; HR Recruiting Inbox and HR phone line.
        • Assist applicants, candidates, and Hiring Managers throughout recruiting/hiring process
        • Performs other duties as assigned.
          Qualifications:Education:High school diploma or GED.
          Experience:
          • 2 years experience as a functional end user of SAP with demonstrated experience in utilization of SAP as primary tool for daily work completion.
          • 2 years experience in Human Resources preferred.
            License & Certification
            • Valid Class C Texas Drivers License
              Testing
              • Drug Test
                • Proficient in SAP.
                • Ability to initiate and complete work assignments with minimal supervision
                • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of leadership and receive direction from multiple parties
                • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook, and scheduling.
                • Must have favorable driving record
