Registered Nurse (Operating Room) - Recruitment Incentive - San Antonio, Texas
Duties

You will demonstrate competency using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation) in providing care for patients, and directs others who provide care. Provide safe methods of patient transfer/transport by assessment of patient needs, selection of appropriate methods and personnel and the provision for the emotional needs of the patient/family during transport. Provide psychosocial support, while identifying the patient and ensuring that the patient and planned surgical intervention and operative site correspond. You are responsible for reducing the potential for patient infection by the application of principles of aseptic techniques and the direction and supervision of the health care team in the operating room. Accomplish ongoing patient, situational and environmental assessments, prioritizes, procures and coordinates supplies and equipment. You will assess, prioritize and intervene in the peri-operative arena to prevent life threatening situations, and provides life support activities in an emergency by executing appropriate actions and/or providing direction/assistance to healthcare team members and with Neuro and Vascular Experience.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Work Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday; 6:30AM to 3PM; 9:30AM to 6PM; 11:30 AM to 8PM-On call shift; rotating weekend call from 7AM to 7AM
