Summary/Objective:Develops medical device software systems through code design, test, and analysis in a regulated industry Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of Bluetooth Controller system
  • Manage integration of new partner systems and devices
  • Collaborate with team manager and team on implementation of Agile processes.
  • Act as mentor and assist team members in use of Agile methodologies and daily use.
  • Performs activities of functional groups listed above in accordance with quality system procedures.
  • Creates and analyzes software requirements, software testing and software design reviews.
  • Ensures software requirements are traceable to the system level requirements
  • Develops software within the framework of software coding standards
  • Create software validation plans and test protocols.
  • Design, develop, execute and maintain automated and manual test scripts to test embedded and application firmware.
  • Create, execute and maintain automated test cases.
  • General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participates in third party and internal quality audits involving areas of responsibility. Assists with related corrective/preventive action planning and implementation
  • Establishes and maintains Standard Operating Procedures and Forms related to areas of responsibility
  • Advises and trains other Company personnel concerning areas of responsibility
  • Ensures appropriate communication processes are established within and across functional groups. Communicates information related to quality management system effectiveness
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor Required Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 8-10 years of related experience.
    • Experience developing for and integrating with Bluetooth Low Energy and sensor devices
    • Proficiency with: C/C++, Software Architecture, Design Patterns and Agile Methodologies
    • Experience in Microcontroller/Microprocessors and proficiency with IDE and JTAG debugging
    • Experience with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C)
    • Experience in Unit and Integration Testing
    • Experience with source control systems(git) Preferred Experience and Qualifications
      • Software development or test experience in medical device industry preferred
      • Experience with Swift, Python
      • Experience working with external software consultants and vendors
      • Familiarity with IAR, XCode, and other industry standard IDEs
      • Experience with Logic analyzer/Bluetooth analyzer
      • Experience with Static code analysis tools
      • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet multiple and occasional competing deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with other employees and supervisor
      • Ability to work in a highly detailed environment where mental focus and accuracy of work output is essential
      • Good organizational and communication skills, including ability to represent the company to both internal and external audiencesPhysical Demands
        • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to be independently mobile. The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with co-workers
        • This position requires up to ten (10%) percent travel. Some of the travel may be international
