Who We Are:As a recognized leader in space science research and spacecraft instrumentation, avionics, and electronics, we are helping to reveal the secrets of our solar system and the universe.Objectives of this Role:Software developer for high reliability embedded systems for next generation space applications.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:Develop and verify mission, spacecraft, and instrument flight software for a variety of space applications applying sound software engineering disciplines and practices.Perform tasks related to applied research, hardware and software integration, testing, implementation, installation, and documentation.Requirements:Requires a Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering0-3 years: C/C++ software development experience0-3 years: Embedded software development experience related to high-reliability or low-power systemsMust have knowledge or an interest in development of embedded systems software, real time operating systems, and the design of real-time systemsEmbedded C/C++ and understanding efficient algorithm and data structure design is helpfulPosition requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in project team environmentsInterest and/or experience in working with hardware and direct space flight design experienceFamiliarity with VxWorks, RTEMS, Embedded Linux, low-level networking protocols, and Python is helpfulExperience with Git (or similar versioning software), Continuous Integration/Testing, Validation and Verification, and designing software to strongly defined interfaces is beneficialExperience in or an interest in analyzing software utilization, throughput, and memory allocationA valid/clear driver's license is requiredPDN-99091325-7cdf-4a39-a0ce-82062227b533
