Director Digital/Technical Product Management Purpose of Job We
are currently seeking a talented Director Digital/Technical Product
Management for the San Antonio Home Office I or Plano Legacy.
The Director Digital Product Management lead teams of Digital
Product Managers responsible for digital strategy, ideation,
definition and development of new products, services or features
which evolve the digital experience for USAA and maintain existing
experiences. Oversees highly complex or strategic initiatives
typically requiring confidentiality and enterprise-level
visibility. Collaborates with traditional Product Management teams
and business stakeholders to lead a team responsible for tackling
complex and challenging problems to enhance the digital experience,
developing and delivering innovative offerings to market. Sets
vision for experience and interface design and leads team to
implement multi-platform and/or omni-channel solutions. Job

roadmaps and digital product reports.
Applies expertise in state of the art digital technologies.
Employs design thinking to bring world class experiences to

Develops and leads team and stakeholders to develop and define
product strategy and roadmap to deliver a best in class technology
Maintains, optimizes and elevates the practice of digital
product management, through best in class practice, training and in
continuing to mature the discipline at an Enterprise level.
Improves the overall work of team by injecting strategic and
innovative thinking in digital product and service solutions.
Guides teams in implementing data driven and user centered
methodologies to optimize digital experiences across dotcom, mobile
and emerging platforms to drive KPIs.
Guides team in developing best in
class processes to collect data, member feedback, derive
insights, and inform product decisions.
Collaborates with and influences senior leaders, product
managers, developers, vendors, designers and other stake holders to
ensure successful product strategies and product/ feature
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Marketing, Human Centered Design, or a related field required.
4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum
required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
8 or more years relevant business experience, including 3 or
more years in a digital function.
3 or more years of direct team lead or leading matrixed or
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and leverage
crossfunctional teams to develop and execute product strategy.
Demonstrated solid business acumen combined with strong
technical foundations Outstanding people management abilities,
creates and sustains environment to succeed.
Proven leadership and ability to influence at all levels of
Expert knowledge of digital products and/or emerging technology
platforms, applications and standards.
Expert knowledge of data analysis and research techniques.
Expert knowledge of Project Management/agile scrum process,
agile product owner role and digital product management.
Expert knowledge in Business Case and CBA development.
Expert knowledge of experience design concepts.
Expert ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in
writing, to executive leadership, driving accountability and sense
Expert ability to excel in a dynamic environment with shifting
priorities and a high degree of independence.

Familiarity with Personal Financial Management capabilities,
tools, and vendors
Experience with program planning across portfolios, programs,
and departments (Lean Portfolio Management)
Prior Agile/SAFe framework experience
