The Watermark Group, South Texas' premier print and direct mail solutions company is looking for experienced Estimating/Planning position to join our dynamic team. The position requires the ability to think strategically and work with management to develop the most efficient way to produce a project based on our capabilities. Our services include offset, digital, grand format, mail processing, fulfillment and working with paper vendors plus other specialty vendor companies.Candidate must be ultra-dependable, self-reliant, and analytical about providing accurate estimates and production plans that reflect best possible efficiencies for our customers while delivering profitability for the company. Must be able to multitask, trouble-shoot and problem solve efficiently in a timely manner. Strong communication skills required along with time management.Requirements* Customer Ownership - Represent The Watermark Group in a manner that addresses the customer's print & technology needs by aligning our products and services in the form of a customer turn-key "bundled solutions." Work with appropriate Watermark team members to build the customer relationship as necessary to meet and exceed customer expectations.* Examines job specifications, generates comprehensive production plans for each estimate. Strive to achieve the best cost for the client and profitability for the company. Works with sales team to ensure all estimates are figured with proper specifications and production manager to ensure all capabilities for the manufacturing facility work with each estimate.* Create and place purchase orders for paper and other materials to complete each project. Handle purchase orders for outside vendor work.* Manage outside vendors to solicit and negotiate pricing and timelines for procured projects from outside resources. Work with vendors to solve problems that arise and manage quality of product to The Watermark Group standards.* Communicate regularly with project manager and production on availability of raw materials required to complete jobs successfully and on time. Monitor quality of purchased materials. Communicate with production manager to monitor quality of purchased material throughout the production process. Coordinate with shipping department to receive ordered materials and ensure accuracy of deliveries.* Initiative to grow and take on complex work a must. Excellent customer service skills and communication with both our external partners and internal customers (sales staff, project managers, production staff and management) very important. Dependability and promptness a must. Time management and ability to work with frequent distractions very important.* Professional/Technical knowledge - General knowledge of basic software programs such as MS Office, Excel, EFI Pace, 3-5 years of experience in commercial printing estimating/planning required for position.BenefitsThe Watermark Group is a rapidly growing business-to-business commercial print, direct mail, and online marketing services provider.
