Call Center Representative (Life Insurance) in San Antonio, TX & Phoenix, AZJob Overview:

  • Receives inbound calls for information from current and prospective members.
  • Provides factual information to Company Members regarding, e.g., public information on from our website, directions where they can go on our website for education or more information, Medicare annual enrollment dates.
  • Fulfilling member requests to mail the company product agnostic Medicare guidebook materials.
  • Taking demographic information to establish member number for new members --
  • Call volumes will vary, average call volume 25-30 per day.
  • Weekly schedules may be up to 40-hours and may have varying shift start/stop times.
  • Daily shifts are eight to ten hours each.
  • Work is typically performed in a call center environment.
  • The majority of the work is typically conducted over the phone while sitting at a computer work station.Pay Rate: $19.40-20.80Required: 6+ month's customer service/sales experience or successful completion of military service or 30 hours college creditMinimum Education:High school diploma or GEDPreferred:
    • Job tenure is important.
    • One year of Medicare/or health insurance industry experience
    • Basic knowledge of life and/or health insurance products
    • Familiarity with external Medicare resources
    • Knowledge of Windows operating environment
    • Knowledge of MS Office software
    • Written and oral expression - the ability to communicate information in a way that is easily understood
    • Reading and oral comprehension - the ability to understand information in writing and spoken words
    • Active listening - listening to fully understand and clarifying when necessary
    • Critical thinking - using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternatives
    • Judgment and decision making - evaluating courses of action and choosing the most appropriate
    • Service orientation - actively looking for ways to help othersJob Duties:
      • Receives inquiry or request for information from current or prospective members through various channels, including phone calls and email.--
      • Asks questions to determine next steps for member, e.g. complete call, transfer or set appointment.--
      • Help establish Company Member number so material can be mailed. Will --gather demographic details from member, DOB, SSN#, address using Company MSR portal
      • Assist member with registering on company website
      • Sends Medicare Guide on behalf of the company through company portal
      • Providing factual information regarding dates for AEP, public info available on the website, etc.).
      • Setting a follow up appointment for a licensed agent
      • Outbound call to members to remind members of scheduled appointment
      • Guiding members to company website health hub so that member may enter their scripts into the medicine cabinet while on hold, waiting.--
      • Unlicensed Call Center Rep. will not discuss plans
      • If member requests to enroll, or discuss specific product or plan information, the Unlicensed Call Center Rep will do the following:
        • Transfer to licensed agent for Med-- Supp /MA
