San Antonio Zoo is looking to hire a part-time Kiddie Park Operator who wants to bring joy and excitement to every child. WORK SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATIONWe are a year-round operation; this position requires a flexible schedule to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally after hours for special assignments. The position is 25 hours a week, and the hourly compensation for this position is $11.00. In addition to the employee recognition program, eligible for internal positions after 4 months of employment and employee appreciation events!A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN KIDDIE PARK OPERATOR As a Kiddie Park Operator, you will perform various tasks related to the operations of all rides, ticket booths, merchandise stands, and snack bars within Kiddie Park. Highly enthusiastic staff will have the opportunity to become Birthday Party Hosts. You are to learn basic ride operations, proper food handling, inventory, use of a point-of-sale register, and cash handling. You will have constant direct guest interaction and must always exhibit awesome guest service. You must be fully committed to San Antonio Zoo's mission to create awareness that inspires action to care for the wildlife we steward and the animals we protect. You take pride in knowing your hard work is making a difference in wildlife conservation.QUALIFICATIONS FOR KIDDIE PARK OPERATOR

• Must be a minimum age of 16 or older.
• Cash handling experience is a plus!
• Previous retail experience, hospitality, or service industry is a plus!
• Previous ride operation experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to relate effectively with the public, especially very young children as well as older adults.
• Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment National Sex Offender Search, Criminal Background Check, and Drug Screen.
