Summary Security Officer 1 (Unarmed Security) are instrumental in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, patients, physicians, students, vendors and visitors by monitoring and patrolling our facilities. Officers demonstrate exceptional customer service while providing assistance with disruptive incidents, emergency services, personal protection and traffic/parking control. Qualifications:EDUCATION: Required: High School Graduate or GED equivalent EXPERIENCE: Preferred: 2 or more years in a security role, law enforcement or military background or a minimum of three years of strong customer service roles with the ability and willingness to learn security practices. CERTIFICATIONS: Required: Must maintain a valid state driver's license. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department. Must complete (Level III) training for Texas Security Officer Commission and receive Security Officer Commission within 90 days of hire. Maintain a current Level III Security Officers Commission with the State of Texas. Renewal is required every 2 years. COURSES/COMPLETIONS: Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center. #LI-AP1 Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
