You will be working alongside military, Government civilians, and other Government contractors. You will be supporting the USAF at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. What level Clearance do I need? You must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. What will I be doing? Using your experience and expertise, you will provide overall network engineering support to the USAF. In addition, you will: * Configure web services; monitor status and make updates as needed * Design and build the information technology framework or environment * Guide information technology technical projects * Identify, manage, measure, and maximize reuse, and manage changes to the IT architecture * Keep IT architecture up-to-date by reviewing and introducing changes based on project requirements * Collaborate with technical and application teams to identify, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions to support project requirements * Design and integrate various functions of network and telecommunications equipment into functional systems * Document equipment layout with regard to power, cooling, security, and functionality * Understand and integrate serial and IP encryptions into networks and systems, as necessary * Understand emerging telecommunications trends and technologies and implement new technologies as appropriate * Integrate appropriate installation hardware such as equipment racks and necessary cabling * Other duties as assigned What experience, training, and education do I need? You must meet the minimum requirements: * Professional experience as a Network Engineer * Training in Linux+, NET+, Firewall configuration, Red Hat * Familiarity with the following software: Juniper, PFSense, OpenNebula, Elastic Kibana, Zentayl, FreeIPA * IAT II certification Where is the client site that I would be working for?
